Healthcare 3.0 Lab

A diverse mix of doctors, entrepreneurs, investors, and policy-makers gathered to discuss the possible systems-based solutions to a truly health-focused care infrastructure.  The Lab was funded by the Blue Shield of California Foundation and speaker Karen Scott, Chief Medical Officer of the US Department of Health & Human Services, offered the latest, on-the-ground thinking from the policy world. The Lab succeeded in many ways: experts gathered to brainstorm a roadmap to a Health 3.0 system and brought the 3.0 thinking back to their own communities; our speakers educated almost one hundred new faces on the topic of next generation healthcare; and sponsors developed a relationship with Vice Media to develop Vice’s new Millennial-oriented health channel through the lens of the Health 3.0 model. We also had several commitments to collaboration that resulted, and a bridge financing round found funding.
